The hotel also has some great food. They have a café that serves just normal everyday food for a decent price. The Steakpit is a great place to go if you want to eat some juicy steak. My very favorite of there restaurants is the Aire. It is at the top of the hotel and has a view of the entire ski resort. It is absolutely beautiful at sunset.
SnowBird is beautiful. Every time I go up there it takes my breath away. The snow is always great, even if there is not much of it. Also, the snow is a bit wetter then the East Coast snow, so make sure your attire is durable and waterproof. I love being up there when it is lightly snowing and the sun is out. It is absolutely beautiful! I would recommend this place to anyone!

If you are friendly and alone, it is easy to find a partner to ski with. I have made friends from all over the world at Snowbird. New this year you can upgrade your lift ticket for $9.00 that opens up 2200 additional acres in the adjoining Alta Ski area. (There are no boarders allowed in Alta area). You don't need a car to get around because they provide free shuttle buses from early morning to late evening.
Every 30 minutes there are buses that take you to Salt Lake City. Tickets for the Jazz Basketball team are available on a first come, first served basis($71.00). GREAT SEATS!!! It is definitely a "user friendly" resort.

As with all ski areas, arrive early. The best snow and the shortest lines are early in the morning. Spend a few minutes with a ski patrol member getting recommendations about ski levels on the runs. The green slopes vary widely, but there is something at Alta for skiers at all levels.
Check in with the ski school for "touch up" or advanced lessons. The school is highly recommended, and the senior level instructors that teach there make the skills behind the praises quite obvious.
