Description
Tracing back to the Aztecs and the Pre-Hispanic calendar, this event celebrates the lives of children and remembers those who have died. The best location to view the festivities is near the Zocolo (town square) and directly behind it. In this area and at nearby cemeteries, locals will gather to celebrate with music and decorate shrines with flowers and photos. Parades and musical fiestas are constant; most events are without schedule and free of charge. This is a time of rejoicing rather than sadness, so go out and join the fun.
