We searched around Myrtle Beach for a great place to dive from, and Coastal Scuba seemed to be one of the best. Among the different sites they visit are Governor, Hebe, General Sherman, BP-25, Raritan, St. Cathan, Angel''s Ledge, Jell II, Mt. Dirfy''s, ST-541, City of Houston, Bill Perry Reef, 18 Fathom Wreck, Barracuda Alley, and the Bottle Wreck.
One of our stops was at Barracuda Alley. It was a wreck site covered with literally hundreds of barracuda. Everywhere we looked, we saw barracuda. It was great!
However, the dive wasn''t all fun. It was raining, so the water was pretty cloudy, but that could happen anywhere. The jellyfish were TERRIBLE, though! My daughters got stung all over their legs worse than they had ever been stung before.
Besides the jellyfish problem, the sites weren''t really awesome. My daughters'' first ocean dives were in Key Largo, Florida, so they''re spoiled by that. The colors and sights weren''t as beautiful in Myrtle Beach as in Key Largo.
If you are planning a vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I suggest you try out Coastal Scuba. I know that if we ever travel to the area again, we will definitely be giving our friends at Coastal Scuba a visit.
