Out of the city centre, the science and industry museum seems to be a great place to take the kids. As a single, twenty-something traveller not overly interested in science and technology, I was there for the Star Wars Expo that I saw advertised in one of the metro stations.
A timeline of information about each film from Episode 1 to Episode 6 was accompanied by drawings, replica characters and costumes, and multimedia displays. A bit crowded at times and a bit hot since the building wasn't air conditioned and it was quite hot outside, but an enjoyable experience for any fans of the films. All displays had French, English and Spanish information.
For an extra supplement, I went to the film on special effects in the Geode. This is separate from the museum and movies can be seen there without paying entrance to the museum. On the edge of a large park, the Geode is a large, round, mirrored structure that shows IMax films inside. The film was fun and informative and free English headsets were available at the information desk. The line was long for admission, but once the doors were opened, everyone got in quickly.
I would recommend anyone go and see a film in the Geode - it was a nice chance to sit down and relax after having gotten lost anytime I tried to go anywhere in Paris! (No one's fault but my own; I'm terrible with directions!) I would especially recommend it to families with children as there seemed to be lots of exhibits geared towards kids.

Science Museum

La Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie is one of the world's largest science museums and it is a masterwork of modern architecture. The museum now occupies what used to be the Paris slaughterhouse building. It is situated on an impressive green area in northeastern Paris and constitutes an area of culture and leisure, which offers a variety of exhibitions and shows. There are many parks around and also playgrounds for children.

It took a while to get there but the next morning we went to the Science Museum. It was modern, efficient, and very educational, I found. The kids were interested in the exhibits, but also in the souvenir shop at the end! I particularly liked their books section, as they seemed to have reading matter about just everything!
