Description
The Caracol was one of the first modern shopping centers to be built in Quito. The building has a spiral structure, hence the name, and a large underground parking area. There are about one hundred stores in this mall, including for clothes, shoes, jewelry, silverware, perfumes, cosmetics, etc. The building has several elevators to reach a mezzanine and the top floor where there is a small restaurant. On the ground floor, there is a playground area for children often used at weekends for puppet and clown shows. This is a modest but functional shopping center.
