He took us to a small barrier island, and on the way out to it we actually saw an alligator off on the side of the road. We saw an old fort, and he explained the history right along as we went. The rain came and went, but I hardly noticed by now. We saw a plantation, and we got to see the grave of a girl simply called Alice. It is haunted by her. People come and leave her small trinkets on her grave. You can see them in the photo. I won't tell the story though. I will leave it to the very talented people of the Carolina Safari Jeep Tours to explain it. It is worth the money to go. You will see a lot of interesting things, and the tour guide we had really knew the history of the area. He did a great job.
