Take plenty of film!
This place is a nice diversion but not an all-day venture. You can get in, get out and get on with your life in a relatively short time. The beauty of the flowers should captivate everyone for a short period of time and are definitely worth a stop.
Splurge a little and spend the extra two bucks for the tractor tour of The Flower Fields. The narrated fifteen-minute trip behind a vintage tractor will give you a good overview of the fields and save you plenty of walking on the dusty trails.
It’s a relatively cheap exhibit. Cost for an adult is about $7 and children 3-10 are $4. There are AAA discounts as well as discounts for seniors and groups.
Teenaged children may be bored with the site. Not much for them to do other than look at acres of flowers. No fast rides, music or interactive games to distract them. They will probably be ready to go on to other diversions within a half hour or so. It's best to have an alternate plan for the remainder of the day if you are traveling with such companions.
