Our days in Mendoza’s wine country were by far the highlight of our 11 days in Argentina.
Julian more than surpassed our expectations by first greeting us at our hotel and spending over an hour with us explaining the itinerary that he had planned for our following two days. He also suggested wonderful restaurants, shopping and parks to visit nearby.
Promptly the next morning we were picked up by a driver and an English speaking tour guide who brought us to three wineries where we walked the vineyards, learned about the harvesting, distilling and fermenting process.
Each winery included a tasting of a variety of wines.
Our second day was spent at familia zuccardi. We enjoyed a delightful breakfast and was even introduced to mate! Then we wre taken into the kitchen where we learned to make bread and empanadas. The finale was a delicious lunch overlooking the beautiful grounds. Everyone was so hospitable.
We can never thank Julian enough for his attention to detail and talent in providing the perfect Mendoza experience.
