We booked a tour with Sea Paradise. They provide wet suits (I recommend these for night trips, even in July), snorkeling gear, and hot beverages for when you get out of the water. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We sailed at sunset and waited for dark, a few hundred yards offshore. Then the manta ray came! They are attracted to bright lights, and they swim right up to the boat. After the scuba divers got in the water, it was our turn. We snorkeled for about an hour, and there were two rays that came within about a foot of us. It was a magnificent sight! There was a DVD you could purchase for $20, and my 7-year-old son and husband were on the DVD for a few seconds. It's fairly safe for kids, but it is open water, choppy and dark. We all used noodles, which helped. This was an incredible experience, and we recommend this dive company, Sea Paradise.
