Snorkeling is like swimming in a large saltwater aquarium. You see Yellow Tangs, Dragon Wrasse, Sea turtles, sea urchins of all types. Crystal clear water. I can't wait to get back!!!

The Big Island isn't known for its snorkeling or scuba, but there are a few good spots. I really enjoyed the snorkeling in Cook's Bay, even though it can be a challenge getting into the water. The best bet, I've been told, is to kayak to Cook's Memorial and snorkel in that area. You will see a lot of the standard tropical fish, but if you're patient, you will be rewarded with a hypnotic ballet of green sea turtles.
