Virginia Beach Boardwalk

Virginia beach boardwalk was a very long fun place to walk with a beautiful view. There are not a lot of shops on the boardwalk. You'll find those on Atlantic Ave. There was a long pier where we ate seafood. It was pretty darn good. There were some shops on the pier. You also had to pay if you wanted to fish off the pier. We rented two large family bikes and rode along a separate path on the boardwalk. It was a blast. There was plenty of room on the bikes to put our kids and babies. The babies went in the basket.

Virginia Beach has all the elements of a classic seaside resort: gorgeous beaches, a lively boardwalk, plenty of restaurants and nightspots, and amusement rides sure to appeal to kids. Sports enthusiasts will find celebrated golf courses in nearby towns, as well as sea kayaking and miles of hiking trails. Many believe Virginia Beach is at its best in the off-season, when the town is less crowded but the weather is still mild.

Virginia Beach

We parked in a parking garage, and after walking to the edge to look out, it was amazing!! They had a clean beach with nice white sand, although they don't really have any seashells, if that is what your looking for, and that was a bit disappointing to the kids. It was nice to go back down to the beach at night and watch the waves under the stars.

It is a warm, friendly environment at Virginia Beach, with many hotel right on the waterfront. It is like Miami beach, but only closer to some. There are many surf shops, mini-golf courses and also many, many clubs and restaurants to visit.

The beach area is wider than what we were used to. It was also not as clean, but they had just celebrated Memorial Day and were still cleaning up, so this may not be the norm. The boardwalk was nice. It also has a bike path that runs alongside the beach and boardwalk. Family bike rentals are available for a decent-enough price.
