First, it was interesting to see how wine was made. And we got to sample some of the cheeses and jams. Then we went to the wine store where we listened to the wine merchant tell us about the various wines (as we tasted each one in the repertoire). I believe the tasting cost about $2 each (refundable if you buy wine). Not only did we buy several different bottles of unique wine, we also tipped the merchant because he was so enjoyable and knowledgeable.
The stop was a total surprise and very enjoyable.
