First, we took the ride on Lift 4, which was a short one, and then we changed to lift 6. This lift took us all the way to the peak. On that day, the weather was good with scattered clouds. You can see the Blue Ridge Mountains from the top of the peak. The entire resort is visible with the mountains as a backdrop.
The ascent was smooth and the greenery around was very pleasing. Once you reach the top, there is a small trail that leads to the view on the other side of the mountain. On a clear day, one could see Harrisonburg city. The entire trip took us about 2.5 hours.
