This ensemble of three majestic, tilting medressas (coranic's schools), a near overload of majolica, azure mosaics and vast, well proportioned spaces, is the masterpiece of the city. The Ulughbek medressa is the oldest (finished in 1420). On the monumental portal of the medressa of Sher dor you could see some mosaics of tiger, which is unique in the Islmaic world.
