Salinas National Monument

Salinas is the ruins of a Native American city. As you walk around the city you will see the stone walls and the Keivas of the houses where the religious ceremonies were held. You can spend a few hours walking around and learing about life in the pre columbian era. It is amazing what high developed structures were here and some have with stood time. The trails are easy to move about and do not require a great deal of effort. Caution should be used if you have little children or people who have difficulty walking. The trails are crushed rock and tend to be uneven and if not careful people could trip.

There is a fee to enter the park and there are restroom facilities and ample parking. It does take some driving to get there, but the view along the way is worth it
