Jungle Trio

I'm not sure how this got listed as a walking tour, since it's a bus tour, but I don't know how to change that so, sorry, but here it is. We were picked up at the Mayan Palace and took a scenic tour of downtown, stopping for a little shopping. The guide talked about life in P.V. He loves his city and it shows. Across the Rio Cuale and south through luxurious Conchas Chinas, we stopped overlooking Playa Mismaloya, a gorgeous stretch of beach, and a great view of the offshore rock formations, Los Arcos. We turned inland up a dirt road into the rain forest to El Set, where "Predator" was filmed. There is a waterfall into a nice swimming hole, and after watching some locals slide down the cascade (and a couple of Pacificos), I gave it a try. What a rush, and, surprisingly, the water was ice cold. Seafood lunch (extra price) at a palapa restaurant (don't remember the name, but it was above Chico's Paradise on the Rio Tomatlan) was an excellent finish to a fun and informative tour.
