Free Concert

Saturday night at dusk, we joined a large crowd at the stage fronting the arches at the south end of the Malecon. This popular performance was attended by many locals and it lasted until about 10 PM, climaxed by a fireworks display from the "pirate ship" Marigalante which was anchored just off shore. Lots of songs, dances and colorful costumes, with vendors of candy and drinks constantly passing through the crowd. It was a longer, more colorful performance than some of the paid fiestas.
