Dancer Cruise

The Dancer cruise departed at 10am from the marina. We were served breakfast which consisted of a croissant sandwich with ham and cheese, watermelon, cantaloupe, cookies, and OJ. We made three stops during the day. The first stop was at a small beach, I can’t remember the name. Here the boat anchored and if you wanted to go ashore you had to swim. We jumped in and swam the short distance in. The beach was little and there wasn't anything to do there. We took a couple pictures and swam back to the boat.

The second stop was Los Arcos for snorkeling. The snorkeling wasn't very good because it had rained the night before and the water was cloudy. We only had a half hour to snorkel, which was plenty considering the water condition.

The third stop was Quimixto. The boat anchored off shore and water taxied everyone in to shore. We all had lunch at a small restaurant on the beach, then we had the option of hiking up to a nearby waterfall. You could hike up or take one of the local horses for $10. We decided to hike. It was an interesting adventure as we crossed river and hiked up the hill covered in horse manure. Once we got to the waterfall we were a little disappointed. We have bigger and better waterfalls in Oregon.

After hiking back to the beach a large storm passed over. It rained for about 45 minutes, and we were glad the storm didn't hit us while we were hiking back. We all water taxied back to the boat and headed back for town. On the cruise back they played music for dancing and went around the boat with tequila shooters. We returned back to the marina around 5:30pm. This cruise was good but I'd probably take a different one next time.
