My husband and I went to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon. We booked a canopy tour excursion with Canopy Tours de Los Veranos. It was awesome! It was the highlight of our trip! The views are breathtaking, the guys are wild and crazy but very friendly and also extremely reassuring with how knowledgeable they are in their jobs, and everyone we met was so welcoming. Also, they found out that we were honeymooners and made us do a little skit in the restaurant after the tour. It is hilarious to go back and look at the pictures! It was quite a story to tell to our friends and family! Every time we hear “Marco…Polo” we will crack up! If you want adventure, laughs, and memories this is the place to do it! If we are ever in Puerto Vallarta again, we will be back at Canopy Tours de Los Veranos!!

The sea was rough the day we were out. We had barely started and people were already getting sick. From there it became contagious. I do give the crew credit. They did a wonderful job under adverse conditions. We did get to see whales as well as dolphins. We got to get off at a public beach, which was very interesting. One would never see the things that were happening on a beach in the states. Not sure I would go on a catamaran again.

We took a day trip on the catamaran Geronimo. A light breakfast and lunch were served, as well as unlimited drinks. First we went to a great spot for snorkeling. We saw a few humpbacks before we got to the snorkeling site. Then the guys on the Geronimo put up the sail for a while. But more and more humpbacks were spotted, so the crew brought the sail down and maneuvered us closer to the whales for a better view. The captain really made very effort to get us as close as possible. It was just really awesome to be able to see those magnificent creatures rise up out of the water! We found the entire crew to be well-qualified as well as friendly and accommodating. This was a fantastic day trip, and we can't wait to do it again.

We took a six hour boat cruise out to a small island south of PV. The cost was $60 US per person, which included brunch, lunch, open bar, and snorkeling. $30 more and I went on my first ever scuba dive. We were instructed on the boat, then went on a 30 minute dive at 40 feet. The dive site was not the best, but the experience was fantastic. My wife snorkeled with the others, gear provided. The crew were very friendly and helpful (always made sure you had a drink). As always while on vacation we met many nice and happy people. It was a good full day trip and a good way to see some of PV from the water. Don't forget your sunscreen!

The Canopy Tour (zip line) was awesome. We got this for about $10 US after visiting another resort for a presentation.

The Geronimo tour was an all day event. You get breakfast and lunch and you are brought back before dinner. You get to snorkle, swim, socialize and we even saw some dolphins on the ride over.

The Rhythms of the Night tour was very romantic, even though it rained. The buffet was delicious and the entertainment spectacular. Drinks on the last two tours were free.

The Tequila Tour was short, but we were able to taste many tequilas and lunch at the taco bar across the street was included. It was great. We also got to dress up and get our picture taken with our camera and his for $8 US including one print from him.

Geronimo, Rhythms and Tequila Tours were all booked via the activities department at Villa del Palmar. It's a good idea to find out what you want and then go to the 1.5 hour resort presentations to get it free. We're so glad we did that for the Canapy Tour!
