This mall was new to Durham, NC about 2 years ago and it is absolutely beautiful. There is a "normal" indoor mall with plenty of small shops and larger retail chains. These chains include Nordstrom, Hecht's, Dillard's, Express, Vistoria's Secret, Bebe, Gap, and Abercrombie and Fitch. It also has stores like Abercrombie (the kids version), a GAP body store, Everything but Water, plenty of bath/soap/perfume stores, and other smaller, lesser known shops. There is a full food court that includes Chinese food, pizza, Chick-fil-A, ice cream, coffee and more. The outside part of the mall is by far the most beautiful and impressive. There are statues of children playing and numerous fountains (in which kids can even play) interspersed with shops such as Coldwater Creek, Pottery Barn, and the Container Store. There is also a very nice movie theater that even offers discount tickets to students (when most places don't!!!) Restaurants abound with opportunities for romantic dinners, family dinners, or just about any occassion or taste. I recommend Champps which has more large-screen TVs than you can count with sporting events and actually has great food too. Marble Slab Creamery is the best ice cream I've ever tased, so make sure you try that. There are even more shops across the street! A must-visit place for anyone - even the men enjoy it (especially Champps), and on a pleasant evening, you can't beat sitting outside here!

This is one of the newer malls in the triangle and we went to check out what all the hype was about. It's actually a cool mall and has a very Californian-type theme.

Half the mall is outdoors, where shops and restaurants line the main pedestrian street with fountains and live music. We got some ice cream from Cream and Bean and watched a live jazz band. It's a cool place to visit, but the stores are pricey and I would not buy anything here.
