A great full-day canoe trip into Ao Thalane, which is situated in the lower part of Phang Na national park. Anybody can do this - it doesn't take long to get into the swing of paddling with your partner to maneuver the canoe around. You paddle round some amazing limestone outcrops and into canyon-type rock structures, all very peaceful. Lunch is included, which consists of yummy local fare with plenty of fruit.

Off again after lunch (you start to feel the muscles in your shoulders about now) and into the mangroves. This part is quite different; you may see some wildlife such as birds, jumping spiders, large lizards, and of course, the monkeys. These cheeky critters jump onto the canoes to finish off the remains of fruit you have snacked on. Very interesting, I never knew they could dive beneath the water and swim quite a long way. Don't forget your insect repellant and you'll have a great day!
