The Rose Parade

  • November 10, 2000
  • Rated 4 of 5 by DenaMaria from Altadena, California
The Rose Parade is justifiably famous. Hundreds of rose-covered floats, marching bands, and celebrities make their way down the streets of Pasadena in an unforgettable event! The Rose Parade is a celebration of the New Year and thousands of people spend nights sleeping in the street just to get that coveted spot with the best view.

Bleacher seats are available at a price and tickets need to be purchased far in advance. Space on the sidewalk is free, but you will need to spend the night to get a space. The parade route begins at the corner of Orange Grove and Colorado Boulevard and continues to Sierra Madre, bisecting the city and making traffic impossible. If you are anywhere in Pasadena during the Rose Parade, be aware that you will not easily be able to drive anywhere that day. Might as well just relax and watch the parade!
