Torquay is heaven for surfers. There are great beaches for beginners right next to the town and for the expert Bells Beach calls. The Rip Curl Pro is staged at Bells around Easter, a must for any enthusiast! Boards and wetsuits can be hired from several shops in Torquay or you can book yourself a few lessons to see how its done.
