One of the best wine tastings in Lawrence is on the very last Thursday of the month. Quintons upstairs features five to six bottles of wine from one particular label (past ones have been BV, for example) for $10. It’s a great deal considering that you get five samples and then a full glass. Each time, you can also choose what variety you would like, so if you want to stick to the Cab all night, go ahead.
The atmosphere is stylish and laid-back. Lawrence residents and college students alike flock to this monthly gathering for good conversation and even better wine. The lit iced bar top is a fun and practical design for the white wines, or you can lounge in the padded booth with a nice red. Sometimes champagne is provided as an option, which is always nice. Overall, it's a great time, and you can never go wrong with Quintons upstairs.
