The course was tight, without too many open fairways. Each hole had its own challenges. The only thing that made the experience bad was that on the first hole we met the maintenance crew, but after that the golf round was a blast. The greens were in great shape, and the layout of the course made things fun. The par threes was where it was interesting, and there was one I had a chance for a birdie but blew it. I have a pic of how close I was. I hit the best nine iron I have ever hit. I walked away with a par, but my dad, who's ball is also in the pic, drains his for the bird. I think that's what threw me.
I really enjoyed the round, and if you get a chance to play Prestwick, I suggest you do. The course will make you use all the clubs you have. Long par 4's and tight par three's make this a very interesting course. The par fives were long as well. I would have to say that the experience was well worth the price, and if I had to do it again, I would play this course a couple of times during my stay. Oh, by the way, the birdie putt I had rolled left of the hole, and I never saw that coming. Greens on this course should be read a little slower than I did.
