What atmosphere! Unlike most of Helen, which is Alpine in theme, this store remains close to its country roots. One can't help but think that the rest of Helen should be like this store. I found it charming and I am not particularly a country person. Again and again, I found myself diverted from buying the practical supplies I needed to staring at the sacks of grits, brands of soap, and candy I didn't think was made anymore. Supplies to cook a old-fashioned meal nestled nicely into a thoughtful selection of gourmet foods. Betty's Country store is true to its place.
