I have a phobia of feeling things underwater with my feet and legs that I can't identify. I also hate the unevenness of the ground when underwater. So you can imagine that swimming in the beach was not my idea of fun. I preferred to stay near the pool and sunbathe there. However, a friend suggested I join him at the beach because it was "so much better."
At the beach, we were given folding chairs with cushions, and a small table. We moved ourselves away from the parasols. There was a guard from the hotel who watched everyone (and their stuff, I guess). The sand was very soft and clean for the most part. The sun's rays were incredibly intense, which is what my friend wanted, since he was working on a tan. To cool off, we swam first in the shallow waters (because of my phobia), and then a little bit deeper. Although there were some rocks to maneuver around, for the most part, it wasn't that bad. The strong, salty waves do carry you to shore in a playful way.
I enjoyed it so much that I went back to the beach the next day, all by myself.
