If you want wholesale or to buy in bulk for a cheaper rate, you can go to Wanfu Road (Mandarin: Wanfu Lu) or the trade centre near the railway station. You can get clothes, jewelry, shoes, bags, crystals, etc. Some shops have a minimum requirement. But there are still a lot of others who just need you to buy a minimum of three items to get a cheaper rate.
Overall, you can simply find anything for very cheap rates at Guangzhou. I didn’t really get the name of the road, but it is all nearby, so just walk around and you will be surprised at the bargains you can find.
For jade buying you can go to Changso Lu whereby is definitely very cheap. For cheap jade but which looks exquisite you can buy at RMB17 for a Thumb Ring with carvings. Quality wise I am not sure but who cares since I care only for it design and exquisite looks and what more is so cheap. You can get Grade A jade too at much higher price. Anyway that area all they sell is jades, crystal and stones.Behind the complex which is called Liwan area ( Walking distance ), you can buy fashion clothes, shoes, etc., at a bargained price which is at around RMB 15 -30, since they are clearing stocks for next season. Not much bargain neccessary when they put a price there. If there is no price just bargain at RMB20 to RMB30. Don't agree, just walk away which 99% the seller will call you back. Honestly I think Liwan is a better Area to shop if one is lazy to bargain. If the Taxi driver doesn't know the area just said Changsou Road where you can see Jades being sold. The place is just behind the building.
