Tram ride

Northeast of the resort, you can head off to Palm Springs -- by taking the highway, you can get there in 90 minutes. As you head into town, you get to see the windmills. The city itself has many museums and other points of interest. One thing to do there is take the tram ride to the top of the mountain, which provides a breathtaking sight. Hiking is available up there too. Do take the alternate route back through the mountains for some other views of the environment there. This will take an extra hour to get back, but is well worth the trip.
