Cranberry Lake is the largest lake in the Adirondacks. Be ready to do some serious paddling. It is worth it. The water is clear and the lake is deep. The lake is nestled in the mountains with stunning views in every direction. Paddle and hike overnight or dabble for a day. We tried our hand at fishing, but there weren't many bites while we were on the lake. No matter, a kayak is the best place to see the sun rise over Bear Mountain.
