The Copenhagen Card offers you unlimited travel by bus and train throughout the Greater Copenhagen area. The Card gives you free admission to more than 60 museums and sights and discounts on, for instance, crossings between Denmark and Sweden.
You can purchase a Copenhagen Card for 24, 48 or 72 hours for both adults and children.
The sales outlet will stamp the Copenhagen Card with the first date of validity and the nearest full hour from the time of sale. Cards with no stamp are not valid. The card must be signed on the back. The crd is available from HT/DSB ticket offices in Town Hall Square and Toftegårds Plads, major stations,most tourist offices, travel agencies and many hotels. Enjoy a ride on the harbour buses "Holmen" and "Bryggen" - an exciting attraction in Copenhagen´s cityscape.
THE MUSEUM AT AMALIENBORG PALACE
See a number of apartments with original furniture relate the history of the Glücksburg dynasty since 1863. See: Christian IX’s Study, Queen Louise's Salon, Frederik VIII’s Study, Christian X’s Study and Christian X’s Dining Room. All the interiors were moved from other mansions to the museum and arranged there with great care for detail. The museum also includes a Dress Gallery with changing exhibitions and a Treasury displaying some of the crown jewels.
ARKEN MUSEUM OF MODERN ART
Visit modern art in striking surroundings. ARKEN is situated as a ship, on the edge of the sea. The museum’s remarkable architecture plays an important part in the exhibition experience. NY CARLSBERG GLYPTOTEK
An art museum on an international scale situated in the heart of Copenhagen. It houses impressive collections of ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman and Etruscan art, fine examples of French painting and sculpture, including works by Gauguin, Degas and Rodin, as well as painting from the Danish Golden Age. The museum building itself is a tour de force, which borrows from all the great architectural epochs. The Café Glyptoteket, overlooking the lovely Winter Garden,is also worth a visit.
TIVOLI
visit the beautiful amusement park which lies like an oasis at the heart of the pulsating metropolis. It has 37 restaurants and 25 rides in Copenhagen's most beautiful gardens with their more than 400,000 flowers. The atmosphere is nice and even though you're not into rollercoasters, the place is worth a visit. There are circus performers, concerts and children's theatre. When darkness falls, the gardens are illuminated by incandescent lamps and Tivoli's famous firework displays light up the sky twice a week. Copenhagen Card gives free admission to Tivoli, but not to Tivoli's rides and other attractions.
