Description: Situated next to Universal Studios Florida is the impressive Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. Open since 1999, Islands of Adventure features six themed islands, all - unsurprisingly - emphasizing adventure. Visitors enter the park at the Port of Entry, notable for its iconic Pharos Lighthouse, and the plethora of restaurants and shops lining its walks. Marvel Super Hero Island features rides inspired by Marvel comic characters, like the Incredible Hulk coaster, and the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man 3D simulation ride. Toon Lagoon is home to Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls log flume, while Jurassic Park features the Jurassic Park River Adventure, and the Pteranodon Flyers suspended roller coaster. Other islands include the Lost Continent and Seuss Landing, and the newest island - the wildly popular Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This 20-acre dreamland opened in 2010, and features attractions, shops, settings and locations straight out of the Harry Potter Books, including the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade Village and, of course, Hogwarts Castle. Visitors can even stock up on souveniers at stores like Zonko’s, Honeydukes, and Dervish and Banges.
