It was absolutely fabulous. The beach was on the gulf and in front of the resort. There was an infinity pool that made you feel like you were off in the ocean.

At Royal Solaris, you can't swim at the beach, but the waves are awesome. There is volleyball and horseback riding, as well as many other activities. I love it here for its peace and quiet.

At Cabo Villas, there is a beautiful beach where one can swim, snorkel, jet ski, fish, or wander down to the shops. This beach (Medona Beach) is a very busy beach.

Ocean Swimming

Perhaps this varies during the different seasons, but when we went to the Villa Del Palmar resort in August the Sea of Cortez was very rough. It was not safe to swim in the Sea at all during our stay. All the literature I had read led us to believe that the Sea was safe, but this was not the case. The undertow was extremely rough and the waves would break around 4-5 feet very close to the shore.

Its PARADISE!!! There are no words to describe this place; it's like finding Atlantis. You have the most incredible sunsets, the sea was as smooth as a feather but strong enough for surfing, the beaches are just as soft as walking on rose petals. There are a lot of amazing landscapes, great fauna, and the people there are the kindest you will ever find!!!!

the neverending beaches

Beautiful, not crowded, cooperative weather year-round. Be careful in the surf and make sure you swim in swimming-safe areas only. Don't kid yourself into thinking that you can handle the surf because you are a good swimmer. You can't. Plus, there are submerged rocks. Do not go into the water unless you are on a "swimming beach."
