Silver Dollar City is a wooded theme park originally built up around a cave. You can still tour the cave, but I don't think most people are aware that it's how the theme park got started in the first place.
They have several rides and a few shows along with many, many arts, crafts, and trade stands and exhibits showing life back in the 19th century. It is built on a hillside so there is some up and down walking involved.
We were there the week before Labor Day and crowds were non-existent. There were no lines anywhere and the weather was great--not too hot or cold.
Silver Dollar City is also linked with Celebration City and White Water water park. If you decide to go to all of them (especially multiple days), you may want to buy an all city season pass to save some money. If you plan ahead, these passes cost less and you get some extras if you buy the December before you go the next summer.
