LIfetime Memory!

My family did the helicopter flight during our Alaksa vacation. We chose to not do the dogsled tour, because my daughter was a bit scared to do that. We played with the dogs and talked with the mushers. We also saw dall sheep, a bald eagle in a nest and a moose with her calves.
The staff and the pilot were very nice. The pilot gave my daughter a brief explanation of how to fly the helicopter - she rode in the front as his "co-pilot".
The glacier is beautiful as are the mountains surrounding it.

Godwin Glacier Dogsled Tours

Take a short helicopter ride and land on snow-covered Godwin Glacier. From the air you can see the seasonal camp where sled dogs live during the summer.

Play with the puppies, then take a dogsled across the blindingly white nothingness! The dogs are so excited to run that they seem to fly. Tails wagging, the snow flung up in their wake is the only proof that their paws touch the ground. Sit back and enjoy the ride or take hold of the reins and find out that mushing is not as easy as it looks.

The price is hefty, but it's worth it for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Glacier Dog Sled Adventure

The helicopter ride to Glacier was great. The dog camp and sled ride was an experience - memories to last a lifetime. Don't worry about being cold. I got a sunburn on the snowy glacier.
