As soon as I walked through the door and was greeted by Mrs. Cummings, I felt like I was stepping into my grandmother's house. As a child I always liked to go scavenging in my Mimi's stuff and Cummings provided the same joy I felt then. There was the usual antique items of plates, glasses, and furniture. My favorite finds were the silver and turqouise ring for $8 and the black satin evening clutch for $10. I could have spent the whole day in her purse and jewelry collections. The most unusual find would have to be the old fashion pantaloons. After picking up what looked to be white shorts, Mrs. Cummings informed me that the ladies wore those under their hoop skirts and when the had to go they just "squatted". If you are ever in Bay St. Louis, this is the perfect spot to find antiques and vintage items of all kinds.
