Beaver Creek Golf Club exceeded my expectations and then some. I am not an avid golfer, but I know a good golf course when I see one. My buddy who played with me has been to many great golf courses, and he said that Beaver Creek Golf Club was at the top of his list. There was not one part of the course that wasn't perfectly green, the fairways were cut to perfection, and the greens were manicured like it was a TPC course. There was hardly anyone there when we were playing, which is hard to believe. We only paid $40 for the twilight fee, but that was during the non-peak season. The $40 included a cart and as many range balls we wanted. I believe that during the peak season, it is only open to members or guests staying at the lodge, and it costs around $100 (June 15 to September 15), but double-check that. I'm sure the price jumps quite a bit during peak season.
The highlight of the course is its location. It is located in the mountains, so the elevation varies throughout the course. The first four holes should take your breath away. It doesn't play too hard, which is nice, and that way you actually feel good about yourself playing well on such a nice course. It is definitely a five-star course.
