Visit to the Dolphin Encounters

I am always up for an excursion and I always wanted to swim with the dolphins so this was a perfect chance to do just that. The dolphin encounters excursion has packages from which you can choose according to your liking. You can be an observer, or have a small encounter where you can greet and kiss them or you can just pick the full package which includes swimming with them. We picked the swimming package which was a lot more money but it was definitely worth it.

The package we got from our hotel included the ferry transportation to the dolphin cove island and the price of the package. We paid extra of about $6 per person roundtrip for a shuttle to pick us up from our hotel to the paradise island where the ferry terminals are located. The ferry ride takes an hour from paradise Island to the Dolphin Cove island so be sure to wear long sleeve shirts and pants ince the cool breezes in the ocean can really make you feeling cold.

The actual encounter begins with a lesson on Dolphins and their history and then you are given wet suits to begin your encounter. Each person in the group gets a chance feeding the dolphins, kissing them, and even dancing with them in the water. You are given a life vest so you dont have to worry about getting tired or if you cannot swim. This excursion was totally worth it, it was a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend to any one who wants to have a good time and do some thing different then just laying in the beach and napping.

Swim with the Dolphins

It was unbelievable. I was an observer for $20, and my wife and daughter swam with, hugged, kissed, fed, danced, and got a thrilling foot-push ride from the dolphins. They were all smiles. I was able to photograph most of what was going on, and the facility provides a complete video of your personal experience for $48 and also snapshots as well.
