This is the main Visitor Centre for exploring the Northumberland National Park and Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site. It also operates as a Tourist Information Centre where accommodation bookings can be made. It has some relatively new interpretive displays. There is car parking, toilets, a children's play area, and maps and gifts.
There is a youth hostel next door.
