If you purchase a bus tour ticket, you can get on & off the same bus line if you feel compelled to get off & tour. we got off at the tower of London & they gave us a tour (it was free~included in out bus tour price!) we got to see a beautiful dusk setting with the Westminster abbey in view.

Big Bus Company (The)

If you have a layover, as I did, London tour companies offer hop-on, hop-off tours for 16 pounds. I chose the Big Bus Company tour. The guides are knowledgeable and try to entertain as well. LHR offer luggage storage for about 5 pounds per bag, good to know if you’re planning on leaving the airport. Most tours and hotels revolve around the Piccadilly Line, which the Express Train does not go to without a transfer. The Tube is slower but cheaper and direct.

Big Bus tours are located 2 blocks over on Coventry, once you come above ground (from taking the Tube exit the Piccadilly Circus stop). A return adult Piccadilly Line ticket on the Tube is 7.60 pounds. Be prepared for the crowds on the Tube. It is a major source of commuting for many Londoners.

The London Tour Bus

We all know that when visiting London the double decker is a must-do. You can hop on and off the bus on the main attractions, and there are four different lines connected to each other. Unfortunately, we only had time to do two of them, the longest one first, where they give you headphones to listen about the places you are seeing at that moment, and another one with someone talking to you live and saying funny things and stories about downtown.

Bus tour of London

The Big Bus operates a fascinating tour of the city of London. The tour allows you to see the most amazing sites while hearing about their importance. You can hop on and hop off at all of the stops and see this amazing city. The best way to do this tour is with the London Pass, which offers a discount on the tour. When you are finished with the tour, make your way onto some of the other attractions (over 50) included in the product. See fascinating sites like Shakespeare's Globe, The Tower of London, London Zoo, and Cutty Sark. The London Pass comes with a guidebook that explains describes each attraction before you visit, so you can plan out your day.
