You reach the top on the level where you can access the two hotels available (Hotel Kulm and Hotel Bellevue). From this level, there are numerous routes to take you up or down. Near Hotel Bellevue, you can take a route straight up to the top of a rock and have yourself a full 360-degree view of the area. You can see Mt. Titlis miles and miles away from Lucerne. The views are incredible. Once it cleared, you could see Lucerne and the lake perfectly.
I recommend a hike before sunrise up to the top of one of the higher places to watch the sunrise over the mountains. It is so fabulous. The hike isn't easy, but it is short . . . but it’s worth it because you will never forget what you see.
Hiking information and map ordering can be found on their official website at Pilatus.
Upon your arrival you can obtain a basic map from the hotel lobby or purchase a more detailed map in the gift store in the lobby of the Hotel Bellevue (it is also the building you arrive in when coming in from the cogwheel railway and cable car).
