The tour meets up at the mouth of the Margaret River where you are given paddles, life jackets and instructions. Then it's down to the canoes to begin the first leg of the paddle. It's relatively easy going with a number of stops along the way. There's a short bush walk with views of Margaret River as well as the infamous surf break and a number of caves.
The guides are knowledgeable and impart with both European and Aboriginal history. Lunch is an amazing spread of bush tucker and surprisingly you are far from hungry at the end of it. The highlight of the return trip is a race to the beach for a bottle of Margaret River wine, although most participants have trouble paddling their canoe in a straight line.
