Description: As a big Beatles fan, this was a must see on my latest trip to London. If you have a few extra minutes and seeing the crosswalk made famous by the cover of the Beatles Abbey Road album cover is of any interest to you, it's reasonably easy to find. Take the Underground (Jubilee Line) north to St. John's Wood and then it's only a couple blocks away. We had to ask someone on the street to make sure we were headed in the right direction, but you shouldn't have much trouble finding someone willing to help out. You'll know you've reached the right place when you come to a street corner that forms a T with Abbey Road being the top bar of the T. The corner also has a small landing in the middle of the intersection with a monument of some sort. Abbey Road Studios is more or less directly across the street and just remember that the famous album cover is the one that actually crosses Abbey Road (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see the intersection) and that the Beatles crossed from the Abbey Road Studios side. I was disappointed that the street sign had been heavily grafittied and I couldn't get a nice picture of it, but none-the-less, your fellow Beatles fans will be somewhat envious that you've been there.
Also for those brave enough, Paul crossed the street on the album cover barefoot, so if you want to be totally correct you could always do the same!
This is a short visit time wise...taking us only about a half hour round trip from central London.
