If you are a skier, this is a must-see ski resort. There are many runs appropriate for beginners, and intermediates but also a lot of black diamond runs for those looking for more of a challenge. You can get your lift tickets at the Nevada or California lodges. Also, in the past few years, the newly constructed gondolas have gone in, so you can actually get your lift tickets right next to Stateline and take the gondola from there. Half-day tickets are available and you can also rent equipment there or sign up for lessons. Lessons are also available for children and I took many lessons there as a child and I can say the instructors are really good with children (or at least they were when I attended their ski school).
