Red Island

Avoid Red Island. There is a ferry that goes there, and all the tourist offices will try to convice you that the island is great. But in reality, it only has rocky beaches and is much too crowded by the locals. I would instead choose Catalina Island or charter a boat to go to one of the more remote islands.
