Puente Del Inca Sulphur Springs

This extraordinary-looking building is in fact only 100 years old. Situated high in the Andes on the route from Mendoza to Chile, it used to be an hotel. The natural spring water here, which bubbles up from the ground like a 'cup of champagne', is full of sulphur, which coats and colours everything yellow.

At Puente Del Inca, you can see the hotel, the springs, and the river just a few miles from the Chile/Argentina border crossing. Also buy hand-knitted alpaca.
