I went to Gozo on a Monday and most things were closed. When I arrived at the port, I took the bus to Victoria and just walked around the town. There is a citadel there and within the walls is a beautiful church and a bunch of old cannons along the ramparts. Tucked along the side of the rampart facing the town of Victoria is the small museum.

I was very impressed by the small collection of artifacts. There was an old Roman anchor that I had not seen before. I heard later that they pull these things out of the water all the time. Interesting. There were several Roman inscribed tablets and a very nice headless statue. The statue is very impressive considering the small size of the Gozo province during Roman times. Worth a visit.
