With the tempatures in the high 80s, nobody expected to see snow this weekend, but we did.
One of the trailers covered their site with twinkling lights and covered it with batting to look like glistening snow. There were reindeers, and snowmen, Santa, all the lights of Decemberpresents under christmas trees and, yes, the stockings were hung by the CAMPFIRE with care.
Friday night was celebrated as Christmas. It was great to see the campsites deocrated in such holiday cheer and to hear the Christmas Carols.
And on Saturday the big guy himself came down from the North Pole. Since it was not good reindeer weather, he was pulled in a wagon by a team of horses while he and his helpers sang along to Christmas tunes that were played through the park. And (with careful advanced planning) good girls and boys even received presents from him.
And like the real holidays the time flew by and Saturday night the New Year was rung in with a New Year's Eve party/dance.
