Armstrong-Browning Library

The Armstrong-Browning Library is located on the Campus of Baylor University. A great way to describe it is a museum of poets. While the Library can be appreciated as a beautiful building, it was built for a special purpose. The Library houses the largest collection of Browning in the world. Many of the portraits are of the English Victorian poet, Robert Browning, other paintings are related to his poems; much of the furniture was associated with him or his family; and most of the items in the showcases belonged to him or his wife, Elizabeth Barrett Browning—also a famous poet. Even the 56 stained glass windows illustrate quotations from Browning poems.

There is no cost to visit the library. The hours are M-F 9 to 5 and Sat. 9-noon.
