Lycian tombs

These tombs were carved into solid rock in about 4th century B.C.and are an impressive sight. The largest, the Tomb of Amyntas, is open for viewing although the chamber is empty and very small. The artefacts from it and the other tombs are are at the Archaeological Museum in town. Great detail on the outside of the tombs makes them look like ancient buildings. You have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the tombs & there is a minimal entrance fee. The view over the town & water is really nice. Back on ground level, there are some restaurants/bars across the street with outdoor patios that also provide a view over town.
